Cloud&Viz is the cloud-based collaboration solution designed by TechViz for remote immersive meetings, similar in spirit to tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, but fully dedicated to VR and 3D visualization. Cloud&Viz allows users to schedule and manage collaborative sessions, invite multiple participants, and collaborate from anywhere, directly in the cloud.
Cloud&Viz provides advanced collaboration features, including voice communication, shared 2D windows such as CAD applications, videos, or presentations, all accessible within the immersive environment. Rendering and computation are handled by cloud servers (it uses cloud infrastructure GPUs), ensuring high performance and a smooth experience for all participants, regardless of their local hardware.
With Cloud&Viz, organizing an XR session is as easy as launching a Teams or Zoom call. The host creates an immersive meeting room that instantly appears in a shared calendar, making session planning and team alignment effortless. Users can schedule meetings using the built-in planning manager, send invitations, and start collaborative XR sessions in just a few clicks. Participants join seamlessly from anywhere, with real-time voice communication, enabling natural conversations and faster, more accurate decision-making, without physical meetings or complex setup.
Cloud&Viz delivers complete flexibility by supporting virtually any collaboration scenario. Users can join immersive sessions using VR headsets, Powerwalls, or full-scale CAVE systems, even mixed together in the same meeting. For lightweight access, participants can also connect directly from a standard web browser in 2D mode, no VR hardware required. All 3D rendering and heavy computation are processed by secure cloud servers, guaranteeing high performance and synchronized experiences for every user, regardless of their local machine.
Cloud&Viz connects directly to TechViz’s real-time visualization engine, offering compatibility with over 250 professional applications, including CATIA, Solidworks, Siemens NX, Creo, Inventor, Revit, and many more. This allows teams to display and share complex CAD, PLM, and simulation data instantly, in the same immersive session, without exporting or converting files. Models stay true to their original source, enabling accurate reviews, design validation, training, and collaboration across industries.
Cloud&Viz includes TechViz’s Grabber feature, allowing hosts and participants to pull a live Windows window directly into the virtual environment and interact with it naturally. This makes it possible to open training presentations, technical documents, video content, tutorials, step-by-step guides, software interfaces, web pages, or any browser-based content, without leaving the XR session.
The grabbed window becomes part of the immersive workspace and remains fully interactive, enabling teams to learn, review, and collaborate with real applications and online resources, just as they would on their desktop, but inside a shared 3D environment powered by cloud rendering and computation.
