TechViz is a software editor, developer and provider of virtual reality visualization and collaboration solutions for 3D applications.

Founded in 2004 and based in Paris, the group has become a global expert in virtual reality technology, with immersive 3D visualization solutions, leading the market.

For Laval Virtual, TechViz presents its virtual reality software TechViz XL™ that allows to display instantly in 1:1 scale, without data conversion any 3D CAD model from any application (Catia V5 , Siemens NX, Creo PTC, Autodesk Revit, etc.) using the Xsens MVN body tracking system.

Based in Enschede, Netherlands and Los Angeles, California, Xsens is the leading innovator in 3D motion tracking technology and products. Its sensor fusion technologies enable a seamless interaction between the physical and the digital world in applications such as industrial control and stabilization, health, sports and 3D character animation.

“The collaboration with TechViz gives our customers a high-tech and solid solution for studying the ergonomics of their products in virtual reality.”

Hein Beute – Xsens Director of Product ManagementXsens_techviz_vr_Bending for auto mechanics_low res

The combination of the TechViz XL™ VR system and the Xsens MVN body tracking brings added value for manufacturers in the automotive and manufacturing sector. With a quick setup (less than 10 minutes) of the Xsens full body motion capture systems, it allows an ergonomic study of workstations, analysis of postures, accessibility of a machine controls or an vehicle dashboard, at an early stage of the development of the product. Thus the ergonomic aspects are tested and validated upstream on the virtual prototype.

We are proud to integrate Xsens technology into our visualization and collaboration software, expanding our range of features for our customers.

About Xsens

The company was founded in 2000 by Casper Peeters and Per Slycke, both University of Twente graduates. Inspired by the possibilities of tiny motion sensors for measurement of the performance of athletes, they specialized themselves in sensor technologies and sensor fusion algorithms. A company was born and Xsens quickly launched its first measurement unit which was used for human motion measurement and industrial applications. Now, after more than ten years of experience, Xsens is recognized for its motion tracking and motion capture products with best-in-class performance, outstanding quality and high ease-of-use. Clients and partners include Electronic Arts, NBC Universal, Daimler, Autodesk, ABB, Siemens and various other leading institutes and companies throughout the world.
